Welcome to the help for British Nationals page. The Consular Section of the British High Commission in Bangladesh offers a various range of consular services. Such as a consular birth or death registration, information on how to register as an overseas voter; give advice on legal issues and about what help we can provide if you do get into difficulty.

We encourage ALL British Nationals travelling and living in Bangladesh, even for short trips, to register with LOCATE. LOCATE is a new online service from the Foreign Office that lets you register your whereabouts while you’re travelling or staying overseas. . Use our new LOCATE service to tell us what your travel plans are and how long you are staying in Bangladesh. So, if you’re caught up in a crisis while abroad, the British High Commission are able to contact you and can let family and friends know that you are safe. It only takes a few minutes to register your contact details and travel plans online. You need to register for the service only once and then can update your account when you make a new trip abroad. You can even add planned trips abroad up to a year ahead. We’re confident LOCATE will improve our ability to provide help in crisis situations and reduce delay and worry in times of stress for family and friends at home.
