Death Registration - Documentation required:

• Complete Death Registration Form
• Municipal Death Certificate of the deceased (with a notarised English translation where applicable)
• Doctor's/hospital report detailing cause of death
• Passport or nationality certificate of the deceased

Consular death registration is not a legal requirement but there are some benefits:

• you’ll be provided with a British style death certificate
• a record of the death will be held by the General Register Office in the UK
