The UK Press and Communications Unit (PCU) is responsible for the communication, presentation and promotion of the UK Government's engagement in Bangladesh. This newly established unit replaces DFID's Communications Team and the British High Commission’s Press and Public Affairs Team with a single, joint team which will be responsible for all of Her Majesty’s Government's media and communications work in Bangladesh.

PCU liases with the Bangladeshi media, responds to media enquiries, issues press releases and distributes information and publication about UK Government policy and the bilateral relationship between the UK and Bangladesh. PCU is also responsible for Public Diplomacy which includes events and campaign designed to inform and influence others on UK Government policy.
