The High Commission is located at United Nations Road, Baridhara.

Our working hours are 0800-1515 Sunday to Wednesday, and 0800-1400 on Thursdays excluding High Commission public holidays.

However, Consular Section receives telephone calls from 08:00 to 15:15 and for personal callers 08:30 to 13:30 (Sunday to Thursday)

Pensions section

If you have worked in the United Kingdom (regardless any Nationality), or you are the wife/husband/widow of someone who has, you may be eligible for a United Kingdom benefit.  If you think that you may be eligible, then please call the  Pension Section, Dhaka on the number mentioned below. Interpreters are available in this office for assistance  who speak both Bangla and Sylheti. This service is free of charge. So, there is no need to hire agents, barristers, lawyers or representatives.  We are the only agents of the Department of Work and Pensions in Bangladesh.'

Parking

We regret to inform you that there are no public parking spaces within the High Commission or directly outside the front entrance. Parking is available in the adjacent streets which leaves only a short walk to the entrance.

Security

Due to the global threat currently posed by terrorism, and the targeting of embassies and high commissions, we do our utmost to ensure a safe and secure environment for your visit.
Visitors to our office will have to go through the security checkpoint at the entrance. Mobile phones and electronic devices are not allowed into the building.
Please co-operate with the security team as they conduct their checks and controls, each of which should take only a few minutes. The security measures in place are for the benefit of all visitors and staff.
